WEEK 1: STANCE

Teaching Phrase: "Athletic and Comfortable"

THE MISSION

The goal is to create a repeatable starting position. A poor stance forces the body to "fix" things mid-swing, leading to inconsistency.

Week 1: Freeze And Check

Week 1: Freeze And Check

Drill 1: Freeze & Check

The hitter jumps into their stance and the parent yells "FREEZE!"  Check for bent knees and proper balance.

Drill 2: Step-In Swings

The hitter starts with their feet together, steps into their stance, and swings.

🎮 The Game:
Balance Hold Challenge

How to Play: The hitter swings hard and must hold their finish for 3 seconds without moving their feet.

Scoring

1 point: Holding the finish for 3 seconds.
0 Points: Hitter falls off balance or must step to regain footing.

Parent Target: Get 7 out 10 points to pass the week.

💡 Parent Corner

Success Signs: Hitter uses the same stance every rep and shows better balance at contact.

Mistakes to Avoid: Over-adjusting. If they are balanced and can move, leave them alone.

THE GOLDEN RULE

Use ONLY the teaching phrase

of the week. Don’t overcoach.
